My garden may be past its prime, but our bolted basil, purple heart (or wandering jew), button zinnias, cabbage leaves and asparagus make for excellent, unique elements for other fancy-schmancy flowers :)

In addition to my garden blooms, there are also katara roses, quicksand roses, pin cushion protea, orange ranunculus, burnt orange calla lilies, mokara orchids, orange spray roses, seeded eucalyptus, and a garden rose or two.

Congratulations to Danielle and Tom on their wedding the other day on beautiful Tybee Island. To challenge the August heat, Danielle chose a fresh, cool palette of Tiffany blue, whites, greys and ivory. We were so happy to find that the ribbon matched the bridesmaids' dresses exactly :)

As I type this, I know should be packing for our trip to Colorado to attend Russ's cousin's wedding. What's interesting to me is that this is the first wedding I've been to in quite some time (that is assuming I do not count my own in October and the sixteen or so I've had the joy of doing flowers for since).
